Have you ever been asked this question and not known the answer? It must be very frustrating for sales people to keep asking this question and get a reply like ‘Just looking’.

How about you be ready to answer this question in all settings. Decide what you want beforehand. Tell people what you want. Get out of the habit of saying of something indecisive like ‘ I don’t really care, you choose’.

If asked ‘ are you next in the queue, say a firm “Yes”. ‘ You can still let them in if you want to be polite. Get in the habit of knowing what you want and asking for it. Be polite but firm.

Try it for a week. Movies, meals, dining times, choice of jobs you like, who you want to work with.

Try it.
