Think less in 2013

Why think less?

Some thinking is useful. Some not so much. An alternative to thinking is to be more fully aware. Back off on the critical or judgmental thinking. If you are like me, you make quick judgments while observing instead of continuing to observe…or enjoy. Next time you have a coffee, just have the coffee. Dwell on the experience, the flavour, the taste, instead of thinking of something completely different and distracting yourself from fully experiencing the coffee. Try thinking less with everything you do. Observe more. Listen without forming an early conclusion. Pause before switching on the neck top laptop. Amazing how much more you see , hear and feel. See if you can enter 2013 with fewer opinions about more topics. If asked your opinion, feel OK about saying ‘ I don’t have one’.

Think about thinking less in 2013 or at least in January.
