Power corrupts

Well maybe ‘corrupts’ is a little strong. Power certainly does seem to change the behaviour of some people towards the people who work with them. Some think the people now work ‘for’ them and can be spoken to with less respect. Some think that a promotion has made them more important or superior. Their ego has become inflated. Take care that you treat people on your way up the same way you would want them to treat you on your way down. We have varying skills and knowledge but are all deserving of respect, understanding and compassion. How you treat others tells who you are. Be careful. Don’t lose yourself on your way up the ladder.
