Can you see yourself going back to normal? We are getting used to a new normal. Working at home. Shopping online. Creating our own schedule. The world is moving forward to a new normal and we are creating new habits. I suggest that you create these habits on purpose instead of just letting them slip into your life. Create and schedule tasks at the same time each day. If you work from home, decide when to start and stop. You can likely do a full day’s work before lunch if you start early. Schedule time for exercise, reading, making telephone calls, checking email in chunks instead of continuously, socialising online and social media. Decide what you want to make a habit and get started. Start work early and have breaks as you may be sitting more than you used to. Learn to use skype or zoom or many new platforms. Set your goals for the day first thing and stick to your schedule once you are sure you have included every activity that you want to make a habit. Finally, learn to focus on one activity at a time. Do whatever you are doing as well as you can and make this a habit. Now is the time to get started preparing for the new normal. In fact, now is the only time you can get started. Deciding to start tomorrow is delaying and missing the opportunity to get started immediately. Create a schedule now.
