If you had nerves of steel, you wouldn’t feel anything. This is huge price to pay for avoiding fear. If fear is stopping you from doing what you want to do there is another, less drastic solution. A simple solution is to be present and focus entirely on what you are doing rather than what you are about to do. If disturbing thoughts interrupt your focus, let them pass by with scant attention. Call them for what they are ( only thoughts ) and get back to what you are doing. Fear is just a feeling like all the others. Useful to help you safe but not meant to stop you from doing what you want to do.
