A simple way of avoiding having your emails wikileaked is to not write them. Anything you put on the internet could be leaked. You cannot be certain that your emails are only read by the person you sent them to. The best way of ensuring that your communications do not return to bite you is to not wtrite them in the first place.
You know the panic that somes from sending an email to an individual and then realising that you pressed ‘Reply to all’. It might sound like a severe curtailment but the only sure way of avoiding having your emails and information leaked is to avoid writing then in the first place.
Be careful what you write. Pause before writing. Reread it carefully and be sure you are comfortable for others to read it apart from the recipient.
This also applies to the spoken word. It you don’t want you words quoted back to you, don’t say them aloud. Keeps your thoughts to yourself. If on the other hand, you are happy to have your spoken and written words wikileaked, go ahead with confidence.
Have you never had someone give you information in the strictest confidence because… that’s how it was given to them.
