Doubt is a serious block to progress. It is meant to get you to pause momentarily and be prepared. It is not meant to stop you in your tracks and sap your confidence.
So when doubt visits, what are your options.
You could contradict the doubt
You could distract it
You could tell it to go away
Since it is trying to help you, maybe try this…..
Treat it as a warning thought….only. Speak to it and say ‘Thanks for the warning. I am going ahead anyway but will make sure I am well prepared…thanks to you’. See your doubt as an ally, a coach, a concerned friend.
If you let doubt stop you in your tracks, you have given it too much power. Even if you don’t go ahead, don’t do it because of the doubt. Do it because you firmly believe that this is not in your best interests.
If in doubt, pause and see if you are overly influenced by a mere thought. Treat your doubts are concerned friends who want the best for you. They don’t want you to stop. They just want you to be successful and have a plan B.
