Paddy has made me think much deeper when dealing with a wide variety of staff. Paddy suggested, when dealing with staff conflict to look at the issue through the staff member’s eyes; listen to concerns and avoid asking loaded questions. He encouraged me to set positive boundaries and lead from the front at all times – to demonstrate that I “practice what I preach”.
With Paddy’s help, I can now focus on the ‘here and now’ and not to get caught up with distractions. He suggested that I make a list of daily, achievable tasks and to prioritise those tasks in order of urgency. If a project is large, break it into small achievable sections so it is less overwhelming.
