Behave Like a Leader

October 29, 2018 by Paddy Spruce

Speakers judge themselves by their intent. Listeners judge the speaker by their behaviour. Saying one thing and doing another is called hypocrisy. Saying you are there for the many and only looking after yourself is becoming common place according to the media. If you want to be seen as a leader you need to behave like one.

Important leadership values are Honesty, Integrity & Compassion.

Important  leadership skills are the ability to:

Listen without judging

Clearly communicate your needs

Inspire yourself and others

Your intentions are probably only known to you. Your behaviour is known to everyone. The actual impact you have on others is all that matters. Be sure you know what it is. Ask if you are unsure…and listen carefully and openly to what is said.
