The German philosopher Nietzsche invented the combination of these two Latin words which literally mean ‘Love of fate’. In simple terms, he suggested accepting what is happening to you rather than trying to change it. He went further than accepting to really embracing the present good or bad. In plain English, be happy with what you got. Don’t be always looking for something bigger or better. Ovbiously, if you are always looking for something better, you can’t appreciate what you already have. Be grateful that you woke up today. Some people didn’t.
